He appeared as household head on the census of 7 June 1880 at 161 Harmony Street, New Orleans, Orleans Co., Louisana, USA. He was enumerated as: Reid, Henry, white, male, age 42, head, married, clerk, born Canada, both parents born Ireland. Louisa Reid, Ethel Marciana Reid, Thomas Cooper and servant Sophia (?) Meacher also appeared in the household.
