He is listed as: Hale, John, male, age 13, born Ontario, Wesleyan Methodist, of Scotch origin, attending school. He witnessed the marriage of Mary Jane Hale and William Henry Gladwell, Monday, 1 July 1889 220 Clarence Street, London, Middlesex Co., Ontario, Canada. He and Nellie Hooper, daughter of John Hooper and Annie (?) Hooper, were married by Reverend E. R. Hutt on Wednesday, 17 September 1890 at Ingersoll, Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada. He was 22, living in Ingersoll, born Brucefield, bachelor, piano finisher, Presbyterian. She was 19, born and living in Ingersoll, Presbyterian. Annie Hooper and Minnie Hooper witnessed the marriage.
     John died on Monday, 20 April 1896 at Woodstock, Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada, of Hemorrhage from the stomach , supposed from gastric ulcers, duration of 6 weeks. James T. Bain was listed as the informant. Dr. A.T. Rice was the attending physician. He was buried on Wednesday, 22 April 1896 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Middlesex Co., Ontario, Canada.
