He appeared on the census of Thursday, 4 April 1901 in the household of Benjamin Rupert Hale at Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada. He is listed as: Hale, Francis, male, white, son, single, born June 25 1881, in Ontario, age 19, of English origin, Canadian, Catholic, grocery driver, worked for 2 months, earned $50, able to read, write and speak English. He witnessed the marriage of Roland J. Roberts and Mary Elizabeth Hale, Wednesday, 15 October 1902 Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada. He and Julia O'Hara, daughter of Dennis O'Hara and Mary Cavanaugh, were married by J. F. Southall on Wednesday, 20 July 1904 at Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada. He was 23, bachelor, coachman, born and living in Toronto. She was 19, spinster, born in England, living in Toronto. Mary Kelly and A. K. Chapman witnessed the marriage. He and Bessie Mae Martin were married by Reverend Louis E. Scholl on Saturday, 26 May 1917 at Seattle, King Co., Washington, USA. The licence was obtained and the ceremony preformed on the same day. Bessie Mae Hale and Wiley Langford Hale also appeared in the household. He and Bessie Mae Martin were divorced on 10 June 1933 at Seattle, King Co., Washington, USA. He and Ethel May Mashinter, daughter of William Mashinter and Mary Addison, were married. Francis died on Friday, 4 December 1936 at the Kenwood Fuel Yard, Townsley, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 55 years, 5 months and 9 days of a coronary thrombosis. Ethel May Hale was listed as the informant. Coroner John J. Matheson investigated the death. He was buried on Monday, 7 December 1936 in Riverside Cemetery, Weston, York Co., Ontario, Canada.
