Lieutenant Richard Peabody was born on Wednesday, 10 March 1734 at Pomfret, Windham Co., Connecticut, USA. He and Tabitha Child, daughter of Samuel Child, were married on Thursday, 8 July 1762. He was living in 1778 at Wilbraham, Hampden Co., Massachusetts, USA. He was a Lieutenant in the war of the Revolution. In 1801 he removed to Lyman, New Hampshire.
