Moses Hale was born on Thursday, 28 February 1731/32 at Rowley, Essex Co., Massachusetts, USA. Removed with his father to Hampstead, N.H. about 1742, then to Rindge about 1760. He and Abigail Emerson were married on Sunday, 20 February 1751/52 at Hampstead, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire, USA. He was selectman in 1772 and held various other town offices in Rindge, and was coroner of Cheshire County 1778 to1783. He was subsequently county treasurer. He was a substantial and respected citizen. He seems to have been a man of handsome estate and was a considerable landholder.
Moses died on Saturday, 2 March 1799 at Rindge, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire, USA, at age 67 years and 2 days.
